Rated the best B&B in the Grantham area by the independant site Tripadvisor, Ancaster B&B provides very high quality accommodation in an old stone built house in the middle of the Roman village of Ancaster. We have recently opened after a substantial renovation programme that has added modern facilities whilst preserving the character of the 250 year old house.
All three en-suite bedrooms (Double, Single & Twin) are spacious and have WiFi, large LCD TV with DVD and Freeview. There is a large guest lounge. The guest dining room has separate tables for each of the bedrooms. There is ample off-street parking.
Ancaster is roughly midway between the market towns of Grantham (8 miles) and Sleaford (6 miles). The Newark Showground is 12 miles away and Lincoln 20 miles. Ancaster is popular for fishing at the large Woodland Waters attraction, walking on the Viking Way and there is also go-karting, paintball and 10 pin bowling in the village. RAF Cranwell is only 4 miles away and RAF Barkston Heath, which hosts many motor sport and model aircraft flying events, is less than 2 miles away. There are 4 golf courses within 6 miles of Ancaster.
We are in the middle of the village's main street about 150m from the village shop and a short walk from the Railway Pub which has an excellent Chinese takeaway restaurant; we will provide cutlery and crockery for guests' use. Meals are also available at "Woodys", the Woodland Waters restaurant.
